Excellent machine. Fairly hefty but portable.
The function to put the session in memory and put the computer in a low power state so you can resume working is very helpful for someone like me, who often has lots of windows open and leaves a number of projects half completed overnight. It was a real pain on my old machine re-starting and then manually re-opening the webpages I was drawing on and the Word documsnts I was editing. Makes it a lot easier to pick the computer up for five mins and then put it down.
I had a problem with getting bluetooth to work but that may have been something I did. I also made the mistake of loading huge amounts of data onto the machine before making my emergency back up disk (so it turned into 16 emergency back up disks).
I'm sure there are better machines out there, but not for £500. Recommended.

Very pleased with this purchase. I spent a long time reading reviews and comparing spec. before deciding this one was the one I wanted, but it was just out of my budget. It was nearly £100 less at Amazon than anywhere else so I was able to buy it. Great, and delivery was so fast.

This laptop is brilliant! I have never had a computer; whether it be a laptop or desktop; that is as good quality as this.
Thr 4gb ram is ideal for playing games if thats what you want the laptop for or more than enough if you want to use it for everyday use. The laptop loads up very very fast. I was surprised how fast.
Vista Premium runs very well on this laptop and has lots of features, which you need for high specification laptop.
I would definitly recomend this laptop for anyone. It is an ideal laptop for anyone and is definitly worth the amount.

My Acer Aspire 5536 was bought at just the right time as the price was very competitive. It arrived very quickly to my address in France (about 4 days) and was well packed. Simply a case of switching on. It does everything asked of it and is exactly as specified. Even at a higher price this laptop should be seriously considered. Its 500 GB HDD is just what I need to store and review my thousands of newly scanned images and the HD screen gives superb reproduction of both still images and films. I can watch films either from DVD or using a flash drive with one of the USB sockets - smooth and effortless and with headphones, the sound is quite dramatic. Although it looks quite big, it fits into my existing laptop bag perfectly. Wi-fi signal picked up easily from my PC and from the local fast food restaurant although to be honest I stayed in the car park outside to avoid buying a coffee! No hesitation in recommending.
