This drive has been average-good for the 1.5 years of good service it has given me, even after I managed to put a big dent in it. However, now the USB socket on it has started to become unstable. A relatively rare and intermittent problem to begin but now very regular, like every other time it is plugged it in, it fails to make a proper connection.

when i bought this, i really struggled to get the synchronisation to work... then i read some other reviews and downloaded software then it really works! the freecom software is hopeless..forget it.. however, this means that that posh blue button is defunct, and you might as well buy any external hard drive...
