I already own a Freecom FHD-XS drive for backups and was impressed by the reliability and robustness of the system, so when my daughter's laptop crashed and she admitted to never backing anything up, I offered to buy her a Freecom drive. Luckily an IT technician managed to recover her data but unluckily for her the FHD-XS drive was a bit expensive, so I opted for the FHD-2 Pro instead. It's just as good but a bit cheaper and slightly larger. Runs from the USB connection without a separate power supply and is still small enough to pop in your pocket. I'm a great Freecom fan - I think their kit is superbly made and the disc capacity oiptions make it a superb choice for your personal needs.
