I just got this because i needed to back up all my university work.
the 120g means i can put all my pictures and music on it too. its really quick, and plug and play means i didnt actually have to install ANYTHING, which is always nice!
its tiny, and could easily be carried around while travelling or doing research, and seems to be super duper fast!
its also very pretty, which is always great!
Highly recommended!

It's a baby Freecom! - 07 Dec 2007

I ordered the 120GB Freecom Hard Disc Drive as I use my 400GB one for main files owing to the lack of space on my computer. It is a sweet little sister to the larger memory model (one sixth of the size!) and is portable. I would fully recommend this product for it's mobility, as it only runs via the USB cable (unlike the larger model) and, as mentioned, is tiny in size. It is an invaluable back-up tool at a reasonable price.

I quite like this drive, and I'm fairly hard to please when it comes to things with blue lights and silver cases. Yes, it does look very nice, assuming you like that sort of thing. More importantly, it works very well indeed.
I am a photographer and use the drive almost exclusively as a day-to-day backup of images not yet burned to disc. I admit that I don't use the supplied software, I just drag and drop as I'm going along. The unit works well and fast in this mode and I have never had any errors or ommissions while using it. Read times are speedy too.
My only problem has been when using the drive via a powered hub-my PC simply fell out with it and wouldn't recognise its existence, some of the time. I've swopped it onto a PC USB socket and it seems to be working fine now.
Highly recommended.

Good HDD (Value for money) - 24 Aug 2007

This is a great product.
I've looked around and this is one of the cheapest I've found and, in my opinion, it's great value for money.
111Gb usable of the 120Gb capacity (comparable to most drives), with a quick transfer rate compared to some flash drives I've bought.
The software isn't bad either - includes Backup and Synchronisation software that's v-easy to use out of the box.

(I'm using Vista Home Premium OS)
