No nonsense optical mouse - 02 Oct 2005

This is a no-nonsense, does-what-it-says-on-the-tin, optical mouse. No extra buttons over and above the clickable wheel, so the ideal replacement for your gunged up conventional mouse. I've used other brands of optical mouse and have found their quality and reliability variable, but have been nothing but delighted with my Microsoft one, a sentiment shared by everyone else I know with one. The only annoyance is the purely cosmetic additional red light at the back of the mouse, but almost all manufacturers include that, and I expect will continue to do so until optical mice are no longer seen as a luxury item - hopefully not long now!
Simple but effective - 11 May 2005

Simple but effective mouse. There are cheaper mice and probably better better quality mice, but for the money you can't fault the optics, it's fairly comfortable to use, and seems to be reasonably reliable.
BYE BYE old ball mouse.....hello Optical - 05 Mar 2005

I purchased this mouse for 4 reasons.
- Cheap priced
- Basic functions which I will use
- Optical
- Comfortable
The reason for the transfer to an optical mouse was because, the ball mice, as they move, graducally collect dirt and dust from the surfaces they move on. This was a pain for me as every week or so, I would need to open the mouse and clean the wheels of which the ball moves upon. These wheels would always contain a build up of a thick line of dirt. This was not very convenient at all. So I decided to go for an Optical mouse.
I didn't want to break the bank on a more expensive optical mouse out there as I will probably not be useing it with all the extra buttons on them. This mouse proved to be the exact mouse I was looking for, as it met all the criteria. If you need a mouse with the criteria I have listed....and don't want to break the bank. This mouse is a perfect choice.
