Bluetooth- Its not WiFi! - 29 Jan 2006

If you want to print from your laptop or Palm computer without cables, then this is the product for you.
I wanted to print from my office desk to the inkjet in the next room.
Don't believe the 100m range claim- I have difficulty sending the signal to the next room <10m away.
Also, keep in mind the relative data transmission speeds of bluetooth vs WiFi. WiFi is approx 500x faster than Bluetooth!
If you want to send a small, text only, document to print- then fine. But if you want to send full res colour photos to your inkjet, forget it. It takes just over 2 hours to send an A4 photo over bluetooth!
If you already have a WiFi network in your office/home, then stick with WiFi
