Easy to install, with no problems. - 05 Sep 2005

I purchased this to go with my new router, then worried when I saw the reviews. However, everything has been fine. It's very easy to fit into the computer, and worked first time. I don't play games, but it's given me no problems with downloads such as BitTorrents.
I've not used a pci card before, so can't compare, but for me it certainly does the job.
Alright for basic stuff, terrible for high load - 09 Nov 2004

This card is fine for most things, but as soon as you try using BitTorrent of any kind and even some games, it crashes to hell. You'd be better off buying a slightly more expensive card that doesn't crash so much, as it'll save trouble in the long run.

If you haven't got a brand new PC chances are you'll need to add a network card if you want to do some home networking. Well that's why I bought this, and it does it's job perfectly. I's simple to fit and I've got 2 pc's connected to a Netgear 834g adsl router and everything works fine. I had to buy a cable for one of the pc's as the router only comes with 1 cable but now I have a home network with 2 pc's and a ps2 connected to broadband. I bought this over cheaper versions to make sure there wasn't going to be any compatability issues with the Netgear router and there hasn't been.
Don't think about it, just buy it, and buy it from Amazon - always a superb service. There was meant to be a 2 week wait for this when I ordered it but it arrived in typical Amazon fashion a week early.
good and cheap - 24 Jul 2003

A good cheap network interface card, that works with modern linux distros as well as windows. Provided with a little documentation and the drivers on floppy, which isn't as preferable as a CD given I don't have a floppy drive anymore!
The speed is good and I haven't had any problems yet, and it even works under linux with modern kernels and the natsemi module loaded.
The only downside for the price is the lack of drivers on CD.
