The software would not load properly despite many attempts and made my system crash. Instructions were badly written, sparse and of no help.

I don't normally have problems installing new kit or software on my HP laptop running XP. However the CD that comes with this card contains loads of different drivers with no indication of which is the right one. ALL of their setup.exe programmes failed to run properly ("setup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close"). Plug and Play compatability seemed to work on its own with Windows Update identifying drivers online and reporting that the card had installed however when any USB device was plugged into it (flash pendrive, Sony digicamera, external hard-drive) my laptop crashed. After a couple of attempts to un- and re-install I gave up. Origin's website doesn't seem to offer any answers either.
